Felix Lenz is a research-led artist and filmmaker based in Vienna.
Their inquiries in geopolitical, ecological, and technological matters translate into multi-layered installations, films, and artistic strategies. By carefully untying the complexities of an increasingly uncertain world, their works unpick the way we look at things.
Lenz’s films and installations have been exhibited internationally including the Beijing Art and Technology Biennale, the London Design Biennale, the Istanbul Design Biennale, Ars Electronica Festival, Digital Art Festival Zurich, European Forum Alpbach, Hyundai Motor Studio Busan, Biennale Warszawa, the Vienna Biennale, and are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Applied Arts Vienna. In 2024 they have been awarded with the Outstanding Artist Award by the Austrian Ministry of Arts and Culture. Their works were awarded an honorable mention from the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and received an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica. In 2025 Lenz represented Austria at the 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition.
