We are under constant surveillance – every step we take online produces data which gets accumulated and analyzed by algorithms for profit or is used to manipulate our behaviour, opinions and consumption online.

THE ALGORITHMIC PEEPSHOW is a collection of router like objects that allows us to take a private glance back at these inferred Digital Selves. They apply the same technology online services utilize in order to access and create data about us, yet not for profit, but to move us closer to a culture of transparency. Each object reveals insights about us, such as our CONSUMPTION PREFERENCES, POLITICAL TENDENCIES or HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS that are based and composed out of our online behaviour. They sit in our homes and support our online experience – whenever we feel wondering or confronted with glimpses of our Digital Self, we can consult them and cast a look back at our otherwise hidden digital identity.
