This summer semester brief is all about AI SNAKE OIL, which we kicked off just before the COVID crisis. Students are working in teams and individually to research, investigate, code, experiment, speculate and prototype unexplored territories of artificial intelligence. Led by Professor Anab Jain with our guest tutor, Matthew Plummer Fernandez and DI tutors Stefan Zinell, Niko Heep, Peter Knobloch and Matthias Pfeffer, we are exploring the world of machine learning and programming and how to integrate them into our projects. Working from the confines of our homes, our snake oil products include AI oracles, gender morphing survival strategies, collaborative music and therapy bots.
